I created a new report that shows the number of DNFs per event (see image below).

  1. I can’t believe there has been an ironman with 0 DNFs. Lanzarote 2007:
    $ grep DNF lanzarote_2007.csv|wc -l
    Presumably 0 DNFs didn’t list them.

  2. From the lanzarote CSV, I see the following stats:
    874 male finishers
    86 female finishers
    960 total finishers
    64 DNF
    32 DNS
    1056 total
    1024 starters
    so 64/1024 DNF% = 6.25%

  3. Ironman france 2007 has DNFs listed in both the downloadable IMFR2007_RESULTS_AllSplits.xls and IMFR2007_RESULTS_MainSplits.xls files. Looks like 110/1364 DNFs.

    I wonder if you’d consider putting up another analysis which I find useful: percentiles for the splits and overall times, i.e. 0 – winner, 10, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, 60, 70, 75, 80, 90, 100 -last? It’s interesting comparing, say the 50% overall time between two events and the swimming percentiles between events or different years of the same event.
